The Church or Eglise Saint Jean du Baly is situated within the Lannion town centre in Brittany. It is approximately half a mile from its sister church in Lannion:- the Church of Brelevenez, but doesn’t seem to share its fame, and unlike the Church of Brelevenez doesn’t have 154 steps to negotiate so has greater appeal for the elderly and those with mobility issues.
Getting to the church is easy, simply find the main car park in the center of Lannion next to the Beg Leguer river, and you’ll see the spire. It’s just a couple of minutes walk.Outside, the Church Saint-Jean-du-Baly features a monument depicting one of Lannion’s heroes, Charles Le Goffic, who was a historic writer, poet and novelist. He died in 1932 aged 68.
