One of the most asked questions is “How do I get from the train station at Rennes to the airport?”
The glib answer would be to take a taxi, but by doing that you would be burdening yourself with unnecessary cost and also missing out on some of the sights and sounds of this great capital of Brittany.
France has its fair share of beautiful cities, and Rennes is no exception. For more on-site information about Rennes click here.
To get from Le Gare de Rennes to St. Jacques Aéroport de Rennes, leave Rennes railway station at the lower level, you will find yourself opposite restaurants and a couple of hotels.
Cross the road and get on a bus bound for the city centre, your get off point is “République”
When you arrive at ‘République’ cross the road, go through a stone archway.
On the other side you’ll see more sets of bus stops.
Locate the bus top that features the number ’57’
Tell the 57 bus driver that you want Saint Jacques airport.
The cost will be one and a half euros (as at 2018)
He will issue you a small ticket, which you then insert into a machine just inside the bus.
There will be a display monitor in the bus which shows each stop, be careful, there are two stops for the airport, you want the first stop – St Jacques.
Leave the bus heading to the right, when reaching the corner, turn left and you will see the airport.
