Plouaret is a small town centred around the Notre Dame de Bonne Nouvelle de Plouaret church – plenty and easy parking and a handy public toilet opposite church.
Great small pub restaurant that serves a buffet type menu at lunchtimes; help yourself to one of a selection of starters, plus a carafe of red, white or Rose wine, or a carafe of water, then enjoy one of a

choice of main courses, then the cheese platter arrives, followed by dessert and coffee. The whole meal comes to around 12 euros (about £8)
There is a “Super U” supermarket tucked away from the central area so watch out for the “Super U”signs.
There is patisserie and a boulangerie, a good florist and a local pub in the main area, not to mention the excellent estate agent that we mentioned in the section The Journey so far.
In terms of travel, Plouaret has excellent access to the N12 which services major towns and places in the north of Brittany, and has a railway station: Le Gare-du-Plouaret-tregor (The station of Plouaret, Tregor)
