This is a Blog all about Brittany in France. It will cover everything that you need to know about moving to Brittany, settling and living in Brittany.
In addition you’ll discover places to visit, information about beaches, towns and transport and a whole lot more.
I had always considered that Blogging was one of those functions that belonged to people with too much time on their hands, and even categorised it under the same umbrella as those who perform their hourly analysis of Facebook.
The idea for a blog came about when we first had the idea that we might move to Brittany.
It had become apparent that it was difficult to find accurate information about moving to France, not to mention the process of buying a property in France, the legal ramifications, the role of the estate agent (different to the UK) the role of the Notaire or Notary, the practical aspects of living and working in Brittany and so on.
In addition, we wanted to show off the beautiful reasons for living in Brittany, the stunning beaches, the lovely people and the chilled out lifestyle which is similar to the Mañana of the Spanish, and the laid-back attitude of the Welsh.
Living in Brittany, or indeed the rest of France, may not be for everyone, as already indicated, the comparative slowness of getting things done may be off-putting for some people, but if you can accept and even embrace this policy, then you can really enjoy this wonderful experience.

Brittany France, how the dream began

So far I have found that it seems to be mainly Breton and French which is wonderful.… Read more »
